Application range
For hardness tests with the Webster test gripper thereare available
three various models:
• Model B
Aluminium,aluminium-alloys and other materials in the range of Rockwell
E 25 -E 110
• Model B 75
Brass,harder aluminium-alloys and steel qualities in the range of
Rockwell B 25 -B 100
• Model BB 75
Copper and all materials in the range of Rockwell
B 20 -B 100

Operation
The test piece is placed between the test anvil and the penetrator
casing.The usable sample thickness is 0,6 to8 mm.By pressing the handles
together the penetrator will dent the material,and the indicator will
show the hardness in values between 0 and 20.The value can be read as
Rockwell value on the diagram table supplied with the hardness
tester.Conversion tables allow the conversion into other hardness
values. |
